Passenger Trains
The First Hungrain Trains
From 1925-1938: Tahawy Limited supplied ENR with 32 complete train sets. Some of these train carriages were used to form Egyptian Royal family train, known as the Egyptian Royal Orient Express.

In 1977, El Tahawy Foreign Trade in collaboration with Ganz Motors, formally known as GANZ MAVAG, supplied ENR with 6 complete train sets.

Supplying ENR with the "Carle Fosche" French Passenger Wagons in the late 1970's.
THE SPANISH TRAINS
From 1991-2003: fully supplying and refurbishment of more than 5000 coaches with the Spanish manufacturer Temoinsa.
The Spanish cars were renovated in the workshops of Abu Radi, Al-Tebeen and Kadar Factory.

Forged Wheels
Tahawy group supplied 5000 forged wheels to ENR produced by the french manufacturer Valdunes.

We sold over 90,000 Griffin wheels by Amsted Rail to ENR.

Tahawy Rail supplied over 8000 Brenco Bearing between 2021-2023 in the 1000 freight wagon project.

AOI Projects
Passenger Coaches
Partnership in the 212 Project with SEMAF FACTORY and supplying 424 Ganz bogies and cooperating with KADER Factory in designing the interiors and supplying 20% of the interior parts.

Refurbishment Projects
In 2004: Refurbishment of 200 passenger coaches and supplying new Ganz Motors bogies for those cars.
In 2009: Refurbishment of 80 + 116 passenger coaches.
Power Coaches Projects
Between 2004-2018: Tahawy Group supplied Ganz Motors bogies to ENR for the 200 Power Coache Project.
Between 2020-2024: Tahawy Group supplied an additional Ganz Motors bogies for 173 Power Coaches.

Freight Wagons Projects
Between 2018-2019, Tahawy Group supplied Semaf factory with 280 Amsted Rail motion control bogies and 280Amsted Rail Automatic Couplers.
In 2020, Tahawy Group Supplied Semaf factory with 150 Amsted Rail motion control bogies and 150 Amsted Rail Automatic Couplers.
Between 2021-2022, Tahawy Supplied semaf Factory with an additiomal 2000 Amsted Rail Motion Control Bogies, 2000 Amsted Rail automatic couplers and 8000 Brenco Bearings.

500 Passenger Coaches Project
Tahawy Rail signed a framework agreement with Ganz Motor Kft and NERIC for the "500 Coaches Project" for the Egyptian National Railway (ENR) during TransMEA 2023. Dr. Amr El Tahawy represented Tahawy Rail, Ms. Beata Balogh, Deputy Commercial Director, represented Ganz Motor Kft, and NERIC was represented by Mr. Ahmed Al-Mufti, the Project Manager, at this pivotal signing ceremony.
